DAY II Around 5 a.m., the wife told me she heard a pop. I wasn't awake at the time, but she was sure she heard a pop. When i finally decided to roll over, she told me the lights and our Pop Up Times bunk fans were not working. I told her it was probably just a fuse. Upon further inspection, all the fuses looked good. I changed them out anyway, just in case. I couldn't figure it out! All of the 110V receptacles were working but none of the 12V receptacles would work. I checked bulbs and everything. That was my second call to the dealer. The converter was dead. Bring it in next week and we will fix it. Today was the big day... for some! We were going to ride the Trolley to Dollywood, a big amusement park. Before leaving, i checked the refrigerator temperature again. No change. I for one am not much for amusement parks. The first ride and we were soaked. My daughter kept calling the Trolley a "Charlie". That was pretty cute. Upon our return, i checked the fridge again... still no change! What was going on? I had it on "7"! I decided to use propane to get it cooled down and that little pilot light is hard to see. I came back in the camper and informed the wife that i had the fridge on "7" and i was going to get the instruction manuals out. Something wasn't right. She informed me that the lower the number the colder it would get (the instructions proved her correct). What an idiot! I could not believe i had tried to cool the fridge for two days on "7". I set the fridge on "1" and it started to cool down. That night, i watched the NBA Finals double header underneath the awning. I knew the newly installed external cable connections worked! Our neighbors, who had a 12ft. Coleman towed by a 4 door Pontiac Gran Prix, were preparing to leave the next morning and packed up everything they could that night. Day 1 - Day 3 - Trip Index |
