Warriors Path State Park Site #A16 (on the hill) - Kingsport, TN

DAY VII - Tuesday, 6/1/04

Jessica's rock collectionAbout 1:00 a.m. it started raining again. At 9:30 a.m., we began tearing everything down, getting ready to go home. The little firebug tried desperately to start another fire with any remaining coals while T told me where to put everything. :)

On the way home, T drove my car and i went at it alone with the camper. I was already dreading the back up process and without a spotter, i didn't know if i could do it. I arrived home before T and proceeded to take up the entire road while trying to line it up. Everything went very smooth and i was able to back all the way up the driveway without help - AHHH LOOK OUT FOR THE TRUCK!

Luckily, i had seen a mod somewhere about adding a piece of PVC to the back bumper. It is great for holding carpet, fishing poles, etc. The pipe made contact with the bumper on the truck and everything was ok.

So, i pulled forward, straightened everything out and proceeded to back up again. This time i ran over my day lillies on the other side - they will grow back! :)

As soon as we unloaded the camper and took a shower, we went in search of a canopy to cover the picnic table while at the campground. We finally found one at WalMart for $35 (Ozark brand). Note: On 6/2/04, the kids and i attempted to put it together. It is going back. I will just spend the money and purchase a good one.

Simply put, this entire trip was wet, but everything was great! This is our first trip with this much rain. We have camped in 20 degree weather and to me, it is much easier to camp when it is cold than when it is wet.
